Highlights: Depending the season, with the various trade winds (Scirocco-SE, Mistral-N/NW, Grecalo-NE), all the stages of the cruise can be sailed without engine (typically at 4-8kn/h). The stopovers are a mixture of world famous historical cities (Valletta), relaxation (Lampedusa) and spectacular nature (Gozo and Linosa). Going through the narrow towering rocks passage of Fungus Rock to enter or leave the jaw dropping bay hidden behind in Gozo at night, or throwing the anchor in the collapsed and colorful volcano crater of Cala Pozzolana in Linosa lined with dangerous rocks can be very challenging for the skipper and the crew. Coastlines peppered with caves, deep clear waters, climbing cliffs and volcano mountains are natural features of this cruise. There are also palaces, fortresses and museums to visit and, of course, excellent fresh seafood cuisine. Swimming, snorkelling, underwater scooter and SUP in crystal clear waters, where one can easily see the bottom at more than 10m deep are the staple activities of this cruise.

- La Valletta, Malta – Fungus/General’s Rock Bay, Gozo (28nm, 4-5h) – day/afternoon sailing
- Fungus/General’s Rock Bay, Gozo – Lampedusa, Lampedusa (85nm, 13-15h) – 3-6h night sailing + day sailing
- Lampedusa, Lampedusa – Cala Pozzolana di Ponente, Linosa (28nm, 4-5h) – day/afternoon sailing
- Cala Pozzolana di Ponente, Linosa – Marina di Ragusa, Sicily (100nm, 15-18h) – 6-8h night sailing + day sailing
Moorings: Marina di Ragusa – home port; La Valletta – marina; Gozo – anchor (narrow passage, rocks); Lampedusa – marina; Linosa – anchor (rocks).
This cruising tour project is proposed in two formulas:
- Fast Sailor: 7 days – 1 day preparation (Villa Mireabilis, Scicli, Sicily) + 5 days sailing (1 stage/day) + 1 day spare/cool-off/departure (Villa Mireabilis, Scicli, Sicily).
- Cruise & Fun: 12 days – 2 days preparation (Villa Mireabilis, Scicli, Sicily) + 5 days sailing (1 stage/day) + 4 days of relaxation (Valletta, Gozo, Lampedusa, Linosa) + 1 day spare/cool-off/departure (Villa Mireabilis, Scicli, Sicily).
Prices*:
- Fast Sailor: 4000 Euros (skippered by us) + all expenses shared by the crew (marinas, fuel, food on board), including two night stays in B&B+** at Villa Mireabilis. Does not include restaurants.
- Cruise & Fun: 6000 Euros (skippered by us) + all expenses shared by the crew (marinas, fuel, food on board), including three night stays in B&B+** at Villa Mireabilis. Does not include restaurants.
