OUR OFFER
The UNESCO Cultural Heritage towns of Val di Noto were all rebuilt after 1693 on or beside towns existing at the time of the earthquake which took place in that year. They represent a considerable collective undertaking, successfully carried out at a high level of architectural and artistic achievement. Keeping within the late Baroque style of the day, they also depict distinctive innovations in town planning and urban building.
Walking the streets and enjoying the beautiful baroque facades in yellow sanstone or visiting some of the hundreds of museums, churches and public or even private palaces will provide you with enough enchantment that you will never forget.
We will organise one tour every day of the week focusing on every one of these towns, with Catania, Noto or Ragusa filling each one an entire day on their own. Every evening before, we will have a briefing where we will present the next town and its objectives to be visited, with a brief history and a few intresting facts that will give you a starting point for further reading.
We will lunch and eventually dine every day in some of the local restaurants in each town, enjoying not only the architectural beauty and art of the sicilian baroque but also to sicilian traditional cuisine.
In the evening we will return to the Villa, have a refreshing shower and if planned, enjoy a festive dinner in our gardens.
Then sleep, eat, repeat.
